Dog Licenses are issued by the Northfield Town Clerk and are good for 1 year. All dogs need to be licensed by May 1; licenses expire April 30 of the following year.
To get a dog license, all you need to do is bring a certificate to town hall stating that your dogs have had rabies inoculations.

Please be sure to register your dogs. Also, make sure their tags are on their collars at all times. It makes it a lot easier to identify your dog in the event your dog gets away and is picked up by the police or citizens.

PLEASE keep readily available your dog’s rabies certificates in case your dog should bite someone. The cost of having an individual go through the rabies series is HIGH, and the registered owner of the dog is held responsible for paying all medical cost!
