Crimeline

Crimeline is an anonymous program that will financially reward individuals who offer information that results in successful apprehension of offenders.

Currently, there are official Crimeline programs in Franklin and Concord. Concord Regional Crimeline's Web site describes its regional Crimeline program as:

... a non-profit partnership between the law enforcement community, and the communities they serve. It provides citizens with a vehicle to anonymously supply the police with information about a crime or potential crime of which they have knowledge. The program is designed to involve the public in the fight against criminal activity.

Cash rewards up to $1000 are offered to people who call the program and their information leads to an arrest, the recovery of stolen property, or the seizure of illegal drugs.

Northfield can join either the Concord or Franklin Regional Crimelines. The only difference between the two cities' programs is that a call to the Concord Crimeline would be a toll call, while a call to the Franklin Crimeline would be local.

If you are interested in being on Northfield's Crimeline Board, please contact Chief Hilliard by e-mail or phone at 286-8514.
